Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Manage year-end tax filings (940/941, W-2, CA DE 9) with 99.8% accuracy
- Implement and optimize payroll integrations with HRIS and time-tracking systems
- Lead payroll audits and process improvement initiatives
- Advise leadership on payroll tax implications and labor law changes
- Maintain compliance with California-specific regulations (CA DIR, EDD requirements)
- Train and mentor junior payroll specialists
Qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience with multi-state operations
- ADP Workforce Now certification required
- Expert knowledge of CA labor laws and federal tax regulations
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or HR required
- PHR or CPP certification preferred
- Proven experience with payroll system conversions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
