We're seeking a meticulous Senior Payroll Specialist to streamline our payroll operations and ensure compliance with evolving tax regulations. Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and 401(k) contributions with precision
- Prepare and file federal/state tax forms (941, 940, state unemployment)
- Conduct quarterly payroll audits and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency
- Advise HR on payroll compliance and labor law updates
- Lead payroll system testing during upgrades and implementations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience with multi-state compliance
- ADP Workforce Now certification strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and payroll reporting
- Deep knowledge of FLSA, DOL, and state labor regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- Proven track record in implementing internal controls
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
