Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll, including garnishments, bonuses, and commissions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Manage year-end reconciliations and tax filings (1099s, W-2s)
- Implement and optimize payroll systems for accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with HR and finance on compensation strategy
- Conduct payroll audits and resolve discrepancies
- Lead payroll process improvements and automation initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- Advanced proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or similar platforms
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred
- Deep knowledge of CA payroll laws and FLSA requirements
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with payroll audits and compliance reporting
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
