Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including AP/AR, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with variance reporting for executive leadership
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance across 50+ employees
- Implement and optimize accounting workflows using QuickBooks Online and NetSuite
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX compliance documentation
- Collaborate with CFO on budget forecasting and strategic financial modeling
- Mentor junior accounting staff on GAAP standards and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with CPA certification (or active pursuit)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience with 2+ in part-time/contract roles
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, and Excel (VLOOKUP/PivotTables)
- Demonstrated success in multi-state compliance (CA, NY, TX)
- Experience with SaaS industry revenue recognition (ASC 606)
- Proven ability to manage hybrid teams and remote workflows
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to 4-decimal precision
