Responsibilities
- Oversee the nightly closing process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
- Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Process accounts payable and receivable invoices, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and budgets.
- Conduct internal audits and review financial data for discrepancies or compliance issues.
- Collaborate with the day-shift finance team to transfer data and resolve outstanding issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a night shift environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, or NetSuite).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision.
