As a key member of our elite R&D division, you'll collaborate with Nobel laureates, industry pioneers, and AI systems to identify paradigm shifts in quantum computing, biotechnology, and decentralized systems. Your work will directly shape product roadmaps, influence C-suite decisions, and position Horizon Labs as the global leader in next-gen innovation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology foresight framework, scanning global trends in AI ethics, climate tech, and neuro interfaces
- Lead cross-functional workshops with engineering, design, and product teams to translate future scenarios into actionable roadmaps
- Produce quarterly 'Horizon Scan' reports analyzing geopolitical, economic, and technological disruptors
- Partner with venture capital arm to identify and evaluate emerging startups for strategic partnerships
- Represent Horizon Labs at global forums including Davos, Web Summit, and MIT's Future of Humanity conference
- Design and implement scenario-planning models for 10-year technology adoption curves
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of strategic foresight experience
- Proven track record translating emerging technologies into commercial products with $50M+ revenue impact
- Expertise in horizon scanning methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEP analysis) and scenario planning frameworks
- Deep knowledge of quantum computing, synthetic biology, and decentralized architectures
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Published author in leading futurist publications or journals
- Certification in Foresight Methodologies (e.g., MFMP) preferred
