Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps using predictive analytics and horizon scanning
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' prototyping sessions with engineers and designers
- Produce annual Horizon Report briefings for C-suite and strategic partners
- Establish ethics frameworks for emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Curate annual 'Future Forward' conference series featuring global thought leaders
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D funding through innovation grant applications
- Mentor next-generation futurists through Horizon Labs' apprenticeship program
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, R&D, or innovation leadership
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Published thought leadership in tech ethics or emerging technologies
- Expertise in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
- Portfolio demonstrating technology commercialization success
- Proficiency in futures modeling tools (e.g., Trendalyzer, Horizon Scan)
- Experience securing innovation grants or venture funding
- Global network of futurists and tech innovators
