Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-year strategic foresight frameworks targeting 2026 technological inflection points
- Lead scenario planning workshops for C-suite executives on disruptive trends (AI, biotech, climate tech)
- Architect proof-of-concept prototypes for next-gen solutions using emerging technologies
- Establish industry partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Author white papers and thought leadership pieces on future-of-work evolution
- Mentor junior futurists and cross-functional teams on strategic innovation methodologies
- Secure $5M+ in R&D funding for breakthrough initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology R&D leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing future-focused technologies (portfolio required)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical field
- Expertise in horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning methodologies
- Deep technical fluency in at least two emerging domains (AI/ML, quantum, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Exceptional stakeholder management with Fortune 500 executives
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry forums
- Ability to translate complex futures concepts into executable business strategies
