Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify emerging technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026
- Develop and validate future scenarios using quantitative modeling and qualitative research
- Design and facilitate innovation workshops with Fortune 500 clients
- Translate foresight outputs into strategic roadmaps and product roadmaps
- Manage a portfolio of experimental R&D projects with 6-8 figure budgets
- Publish thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals and industry publications
- Mentor junior futurists and build cross-functional innovation teams
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategy consulting, R&D, or futurist role with Fortune 500 exposure
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial innovations
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methodology, and trend analysis
- Strong background in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Experience with futures modeling tools (e.g., Causal Layered Analysis, STEEPLE)
- Published author or conference speaker on future-focused topics
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ implemented foresight initiatives
