The Role:
As a Financial Analyst at Apex, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information that supports the company's strategic objectives. You will work closely with senior leadership to analyze performance, identify trends, and recommend actions that drive growth and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability trends.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis against budgets and operational plans to identify root causes of variances.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for executive leadership and board meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Marketing) to optimize capital allocation and resource planning.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements within financial operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to drive business performance.
- Assist in the budgeting process by gathering input from department heads and reconciling budget versus actuals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or investment banking.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and financial modeling software (e.g., Bloomberg Terminal, Capital IQ).
- Experience with SQL, Python, or Power BI for data extraction and visualization is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial data to non-financial audiences.
