Responsibilities
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models for portfolio companies including valuation, forecasting, and scenario analysis
- Conduct in-depth due diligence on potential investments, analyzing financial statements, market trends, and competitive landscapes
- Develop monthly performance dashboards and variance reports highlighting key financial metrics and KPIs
- Collaborate with portfolio companies to optimize capital allocation, fundraising strategies, and operational efficiency
- Present financial insights to investment committees and senior leadership through compelling visual storytelling
- Monitor industry benchmarks and emerging fintech trends to inform investment strategies
- Mentor junior analysts and improve financial reporting processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive financial analysis experience, ideally in venture capital, private equity, or tech finance
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling (DCF, LBO, M&A) and Excel with macros
- Expertise in SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Exceptional analytical thinking with ability to synthesize complex data into strategic recommendations
- Proven experience working with high-growth startups in technology sector
- Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
