Responsibilities
- Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Develop complex financial models to predict revenue, expenses, and profitability trends for upcoming fiscal periods.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare high-level monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for executive leadership, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Budget Management: Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to allocate resources effectively and monitor variances.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance data integrity through automation and system optimization.
- Investment Analysis: Evaluate potential investment opportunities and provide recommendations based on ROI, risk assessment, and strategic alignment.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support strategic initiatives and operational decisions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required; MBA or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, preferably within the finance or government contracting sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros), SQL, and financial modeling software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex financial data into clear, concise presentations for non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in reporting.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with federal financial regulations and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
