Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end/year-end closing processes with multi-entity consolidations
- Develop and maintain internal controls for financial reporting systems
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights to leadership
- Manage SOX compliance documentation and audit coordination
- Mentor junior accounting staff on technical procedures
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with complex modeling capabilities
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and multi-state tax regulations
- Experience with ERP implementations (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven leadership in cross-functional financial projects
