Responsibilities
- Analyze complex financial statements, cash flow projections, and market trends to assess credit risk for commercial clients
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments with actionable recommendations for executive review
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and proactively identify/mitigate emerging credit risks
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal financing solutions
- Stay current on regulatory changes (FIRREA, Dodd-Frank) and implement compliance requirements
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of credit policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or financial services
- Expert proficiency in financial modeling (DCF, LBO) and Excel advanced functions
- Strong understanding of credit rating methodologies and risk assessment frameworks
- Proven track record of managing loan portfolios $50M+
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- FRM or CFA designation strongly preferred
