Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and risk assessments for commercial lending decisions
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure credit solutions aligned with client needs
- Stay updated on regulatory compliance (FDIC, OCC) and internal credit policies
- Present complex financial findings to credit committees using data visualization tools
- Develop and maintain automated credit scoring models using Excel and SQL
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or financial services
- Expertise in financial statement analysis, ratio interpretation, and cash flow modeling
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros) and SQL
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB) or equivalent risk management training
- Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders
