Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and borrower history to assess risk exposure.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models to predict default probabilities accurately.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and presentations for the Credit Committee.
- Monitor existing portfolio performance and proactively manage delinquent accounts.
- Collaborate with loan officers and underwriting teams to guide credit decisions.
- Stay abreast of economic trends and regulatory changes affecting the credit industry.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior analysts within the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, or financial lending.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel (advanced functions), and credit analysis software.
- Strong understanding of banking regulations, including Basel III and Dodd-Frank.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial data clearly.
- Strong analytical mindset with a high attention to detail.
- Professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, or CAM) is a significant plus.
