Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market data to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for commercial and industrial loans
- Monitor existing loan portfolios for compliance and early risk identification
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure loan terms aligned with risk appetite
- Stay current on regulatory changes (e.g., FFIEC, Basel III) and industry best practices
- Present credit recommendations to senior management and credit committees
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for high-exposure accounts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or financial services
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Strong understanding of cash flow analysis, collateral valuation, and covenant structures
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB) or equivalent professional designation preferred
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills for presenting complex financial concepts
