Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive credit risk evaluations for commercial and corporate clients using advanced financial modeling techniques
- Prepare detailed credit analysis reports and recommendations for senior management and loan committees
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging risks through quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure complex financing solutions while maintaining risk parameters
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with credit bureaus and industry partners for enhanced risk assessment
- Lead training initiatives for junior analysts and contribute to department process improvements
- Stay current with regulatory changes (FDIC, OCC, CFPB) and implement compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CFA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive credit analysis experience in commercial banking or financial services
- Expert proficiency in financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and ratio interpretation
- Advanced Excel skills with experience in creating complex financial models and pivot tables
- Strong understanding of credit risk frameworks, loan structuring, and covenant monitoring
- Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders
- Professional certification (CRCM, CMB, or FRM) highly desirable
- Experience with credit software platforms (e.g., Moody's Analytics, FICO Debt Manager)
