Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, and industry trends to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare comprehensive credit reports with risk ratings and recommendations for approval/decline
- Monitor existing credit portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with sales teams to structure optimal credit terms aligned with risk tolerance
- Stay updated on regulatory changes (FICO, GAAP, Fair Credit Reporting Act)
- Present credit findings to senior leadership and credit committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software
- Credit Analyst Certification (CRCM or CCE) preferred
- Strong understanding of cash flow analysis and collateral valuation
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities for presenting complex financial data
