Responsibilities
- Analyze complex financial statements and credit data to assess borrower risk and recommend credit decisions
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for commercial and industrial loans
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal credit solutions
- Monitor existing credit portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Stay current on industry regulations and economic trends affecting credit risk
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or CFA preferred
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience with proven track record
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (VBA a plus)
- Strong understanding of credit risk frameworks and banking regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Experience with credit scoring models and risk management software
