Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market trends to assess applicant creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit risk assessments and loan approval recommendations
- Collaborate with loan officers to structure competitive financing solutions
- Monitor existing portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Ensure compliance with federal lending regulations and internal policies
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and vendors
- Train junior analysts on credit evaluation methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of commercial credit analysis experience
- Proficiency in financial modeling software (e.g., Excel, Moody's Analytics)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and lending regulations (Regulation B, etc.)
- Credit certification (CRCM, CCE, or similar) preferred
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
