Responsibilities
- Analyze complex financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to assess credit risk
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for loan committee review
- Monitor existing portfolios and recommend corrective actions for underperforming credits
- Collaborate with sales teams to structure optimal financing solutions
- Stay updated on regulatory changes (FDIC, OCC, FCA) and implement compliance requirements
- Leverage data analytics tools to identify market opportunities and emerging risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, financial modeling)
- Strong understanding of GAAP, cash flow analysis, and debt covenants
- Experience with credit scoring models (e.g., Altman Z-score) and risk assessment frameworks
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership
