Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market trends to assess borrower risk profiles
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for commercial and consumer loan applications
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with loan officers to structure credit solutions aligned with client needs
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations (Fair Credit Reporting Act, BSA) and internal policies
- Present complex financial data through clear visual reports for executive review
- Maintain accurate documentation in loan origination systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Economics required
- 3+ years of credit analysis experience in banking or financial services
- Proficiency in credit scoring models (FICO, Altman Z-Score) and underwriting software
- Certified Credit Professional (CCP) designation preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with financial modeling capabilities
- Strong analytical reasoning and attention to detail
