Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth credit risk evaluations for commercial and corporate clients
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to assess creditworthiness
- Prepare comprehensive credit reports and recommendations for senior leadership
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify potential risk exposure
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to structure optimal credit solutions
- Stay updated on regulatory compliance (FIRREA, Basel III, etc.)
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance credit decision frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB preferred)
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative reasoning skills
- Strong understanding of financial statements and ratio analysis
- Experience with credit risk software (e.g., Moody's RiskCalculus, FICO)
- Proven ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly
