Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, market trends, and industry risks to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit reports and recommendations for loan approval or denial
- Monitor existing credit portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with senior management to establish credit policies and risk thresholds
- Present findings to credit committees and executive stakeholders
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software
- Strong understanding of GAAP, risk management frameworks, and credit regulations
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB) preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-volume environment
