Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive creditworthiness evaluations for commercial and industrial loan applicants
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, and industry trends to assess risk
- Prepare detailed credit reports and recommendations for loan approval committees
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure complex credit solutions
- Stay updated on regulatory compliance (FIRREA, BSA, etc.) and implement best practices
- Present findings to senior leadership with clear, data-driven insights
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling software (e.g., Moody's Analytics, RiskCalc)
- Credit certification (CRCM, CCE, or equivalent) preferred
- Expertise in analyzing S&P 500 and mid-market financial statements
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to identify subtle risk indicators
- Proven experience with loan documentation and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial data
