Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare comprehensive credit reports with detailed risk assessments and recommendations
- Monitor existing portfolios for compliance with covenants and identify early warning signals
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers to structure complex financing solutions
- Stay current on regulatory changes (FIRREA, Basel III) and implement best practices
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of credit policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (MBA/CFA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and credit software (e.g., Moody's Analytics)
- Deep understanding of cash flow analysis, collateral valuation, and industry risk factors
- Strong communication skills with ability to present complex findings to stakeholders
- Proven track record of managing credit portfolios with low delinquency rates
- Austin market knowledge or experience with tech/energy sector lending
