Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market data to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and risk assessments for commercial and industrial loans
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal credit solutions
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (FRB, OCC)
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and recommend loan modifications when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in core banking systems and credit databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, ratio analysis, and cash flow projections
- Strong knowledge of SBA lending programs and commercial real estate finance
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Expert-level Excel skills with experience in financial modeling tools
- Exceptional analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders
