Responsibilities
- Analyze commercial credit applications for corporate clients, assessing financial statements, market trends, and collateral value
- Prepare detailed credit risk reports and recommendations for the credit committee
- Monitor existing credit portfolios and identify potential risks requiring mitigation
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and industry stakeholders
- Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting credit policies and procedures
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in a banking or financial institution
- Strong proficiency in financial statement analysis and ratio modeling
- Credit risk certification (CRCM or equivalent) highly desirable
- Expertise in evaluating S&P rated corporate debt instruments
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage complex credit portfolios under regulatory scrutiny
