Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 SMB clients using QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis and executive summaries
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and bank reconciliations
- Coordinate with tax preparers for quarterly and annual filings
- Implement internal controls and process improvements for client accounting systems
- Train junior staff on accounting software best practices
- Conduct periodic financial health assessments for client portfolios
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks certification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA/MBA preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and macros
- Proven experience managing multi-client bookkeeping portfolios
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Texas sales tax regulations
- Excellent communication skills for client financial consultations
