Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions within weekly pay cycles
- Generate monthly financial statements and variance reports for leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry-specific regulations
- Manage payroll processing and tax filings with weekly disbursements
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly and annual reviews
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience in mid-size companies
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end closing procedures
- Strong understanding of sales tax and payroll regulations
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven track record of meeting weekly financial deadlines
