Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and bank transactions weekly
- Generate monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and Arizona state tax regulations
- Manage client bookkeeping software (QuickBooks Online) optimization
- Coordinate with auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Mentor junior bookkeepers and implement process improvements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro certification
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing and sales tax filing
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify discrepancies
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines in high-volume environments
