We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our growing finance team in Seattle, WA. In this role, you will take ownership of our general ledger, ensuring financial data integrity while supporting our strategic growth initiatives. You will work closely with management to provide accurate, timely reporting and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee the daily reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and loan accounts to ensure balances are accurate and up-to-date.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for management review.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely collection of receivables to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Payroll Processing: Assist with monthly payroll calculations, tax filings, and ensuring compliance with local Washington state tax laws.
- Compliance & Auditing: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for internal and external audits; ensure adherence to GAAP and internal policies.
- Software Management: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero) to automate workflows and generate reports.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior accounting staff and collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (or Xero), Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and other accounting software.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP principles, payroll tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Attributes: Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
