Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure all necessary documentation is in order.
- Process payroll for employees in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) to track transactions and generate reports.
- Communicate with clients and vendors regarding billing inquiries and payment schedules.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of professional experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software, specifically QuickBooks Online or Xero.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
