Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 SMB clients using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary
- Coordinate sales tax filings across multiple jurisdictions
- Oversee accounts payable/reconciliation processes for high-volume transactions
- Implement internal controls for audit readiness
- Mentor junior bookkeepers on accounting best practices
- Collaborate with tax department on quarterly estimates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping with multi-entity portfolios
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Strong understanding of GAAP and NYS tax regulations
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience with construction/retail industry accounting a plus
