Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 client portfolios including A/P, A/R, and payroll processing
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analyses using QuickBooks Online
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts monthly
- Assist clients with sales tax filings and quarterly tax preparations
- Implement and maintain efficient accounting systems and internal controls
- Train junior bookkeepers on proprietary financial software workflows
- Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure year-end compliance readiness
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Proven expertise in financial statement preparation and reconciliation
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- CPA or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification a strong plus
- Experience with multi-state sales tax compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-tolerance for errors
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
