Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for 15+ clients
- Manage payroll processing and tax compliance for NYC-based businesses
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online systems for new clients
- Collaborate with CPA firms during audit processes
- Provide financial insights to support business decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience in a NYC-based firm
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and Xero
- Deep knowledge of NY tax regulations and GAAP principles
- Proven experience with multi-entity bookkeeping systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong client communication and presentation abilities
