Apex Financial Partners is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance department. We are looking for a meticulous professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about maintaining the financial integrity of our clients.
As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will play a pivotal role in our accounting operations, bridging the gap between raw data and actionable financial insights. If you have a strong command of financial software and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile all general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet and P&L) in strict adherence to GAAP standards.
- Perform comprehensive bank reconciliations and identify discrepancies to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal and state tax documents, including 1099s and W-2s.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely reporting.
- Utilize QuickBooks Online and Xero to manage financial workflows and generate reports.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve internal controls and accounting processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is mandatory.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or CPA candidate status is a significant plus.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with clients and vendors professionally.
