Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliation.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure data integrity and identify discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in monthly payroll preparation, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for review by management and stakeholders.
- Tax Preparation: Support the tax team during tax season by gathering necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and other accounting software.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and ability to detect errors in complex data sets.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to clients and internal teams.
- Soft Skills: Proactive problem-solving and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
