Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous accuracy
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage cash flow statements
- Prepare monthly financial reports including profit/loss statements and balance sheets
- Ensure compliance with federal/state tax regulations and filing deadlines
- Oversee payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks systems for clients
- Conduct regular internal audits to identify discrepancies
- Collaborate with tax professionals during audit processes
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and IRS tax codes
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and client relationships
- Professional communication skills for client consultations
