Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full-cycle bookkeeping process, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports to assist management in decision-making.
- Process payroll accurately and timely for multiple clients.
- Assist with tax preparation filings and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to maintain accurate financial records.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding financial inquiries and status updates.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor’s preferred).
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a small business or CPA firm setting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar accounting platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
