Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 client portfolios using QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis with executive summaries
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and bank reconciliations
- Coordinate year-end audits and maintain organized digital document repositories
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Train junior staff on accounting software compliance protocols
- Adhere to GAAP standards and industry-specific regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with multi-client portfolios
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification strongly preferred
- Proven track record of managing month-end close processes
- Experience with sales tax filings and payroll processing
- Exceptional attention to detail with error rates under 0.5%
- Ability to thrive in deadline-driven environments with competing priorities
