Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for diverse client portfolios using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes with zero-tolerance for discrepancies
- Coordinate with tax professionals to ensure compliance with federal and Tennessee state regulations
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls for financial data integrity
- Lead month-end closing procedures with strict deadline adherence
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making for SMB clients
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks proficiency
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- Proven expertise in reconciling complex accounts and resolving discrepancies
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and Tennessee tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
- Experience managing bookkeeping for 15+ clients simultaneously
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
