Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with all state and federal labor laws.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and filing systems.
- Assist the senior accountant with tax preparation and year-end audits.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero accounting software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
