Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 clients including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with variance analysis
- Oversee sales tax filings and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Implement and maintain organized digital filing systems for all financial documents
- Collaborate with CPAs during quarterly/annual audits and tax preparations
- Process expense reports and vendor invoices with strict adherence to company policies
- Generate customized financial reports for clients to support strategic decision-making
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online/Desktop proficiency
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Proven track record of managing multi-client bookkeeping portfolios
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling
- Deep understanding of GAAP principles and tax compliance requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to reconcile complex accounts
- Strong communication skills for client-facing financial consultations
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation a plus
