Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 diverse client portfolios using QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and accounts receivable/payable with precision
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for Houston-based clients
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial data integrity
- Collaborate with tax department to ensure seamless year-end reporting
- Train junior staff on bookkeeping best practices and software proficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero platforms
- CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred
- Proven track record of managing multi-client portfolios in a firm environment
- Expert knowledge of GAAP principles and Texas tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with 99.9% data accuracy rate
- Strong analytical skills for identifying financial discrepancies
- Excellent communication abilities for client interactions
