Responsibilities
- Manage Financial Records: Accurately record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in processing payroll for employees, ensuring all tax withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial reports, ledgers, and spreadsheets for management review.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Software Management: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to manage client accounts and track financial data.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in QuickBooks Online or desktop, as well as Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors, verify data, and maintain high accuracy in all tasks.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and team members professionally.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
