Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 client portfolios including AP/AR, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets) with variance analysis
- Oversee sales tax compliance and quarterly filings across multiple jurisdictions
- Implement and maintain QuickBooks Online solutions for new clients
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual reviews
- Mentor junior bookkeepers on accounting best practices
- Develop customized financial reporting dashboards for client stakeholders
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online certification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and macros
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance (CA, AZ, OR)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and industry-specific accounting standards
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail (0.1% error tolerance)
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environment
- Professional certification (e.g., CB, AAP) required
