Join a dynamic finance team in London as our new Senior Bookkeeper. We are seeking an experienced professional to manage our financial records, ensure compliance, and drive operational efficiency.
In this role, you will oversee the full-cycle bookkeeping process, from managing invoices to preparing management accounts. You will be the trusted financial partner to our operations team.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries and accruals.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts and tax returns in collaboration with external accountants.
- Process payroll for UK employees and handle HMRC submissions.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
- Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Relevant professional qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a bookkeeping or finance role.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Strong understanding of UK VAT legislation and payroll compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
