Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 small business clients
- Prepare month-end closing reports and financial statements
- Process accounts payable/receivable and payroll coordination
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions
- Maintain QuickBooks Online with custom reporting
- Support tax preparation with organized documentation
- Implement internal controls for financial compliance
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Advanced QuickBooks Online certification required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Proficiency in Excel with VLOOKUP/PivotTable skills
- Knowledge of Illinois sales tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage multiple client portfolios
- CPA or EA designation a strong plus
